Current condition:
This page will tell the tales of my better half's Kute Jeep ...
- It backfired once at 52,000 miles. The engine code said Misfire
Cylinder #2 and Misfire Cylinder #3. Aside from which cylinder is was,
I said "duh". Anyway, I found a website (I'll post the link
when I find it again), a sort of support group for Liberty owners. A
lot of owners complained about their Lib's eating sparkplugs. So I
upgrade to Bosch Platinum +4s. The #2 and #3 look a little different
than the rest. While I had the coils off, I tested the resistance
between the top lead and the bottom. Most were in the 7.0 to 7.1 KOhm
range. #2 and #3 were 8.01K and 7.95K respectively.
Coincidence? I thought not. I bought two new coils through
partsamerica.com, which tested at 6.95KOhm, so I guess that's what they all
should be at. I'll just wait until another one lets go, reset the MIL
with my palm pilot and order another coil. They're a little spendy to
"preventive maintenance" replace them!

That's
it for now, stay tuned!
