I have put a four inch lift and replaced carb with mopar fuel injection.. it has been reconditioned by Collins bro in Texas. painted over a lot of rust that I have to deal with now. shame on them. I never saw it before they painted it. soft top. spray liner in all inside. metallic blue color. the roll cage out of Colorado was bolted in without welding. body has not been modified. I plan to rebuild the engine for more torque. How many automatics are still out there. I paid 16000 and then added all the after market parts.

	029025		Johnny	I have 2 Scramblers. One is an all original 61K miles. Drk Blu w/Blue bucket seats w/ gry inserts. ORIGINAL AMC Tonneau cover and bed wood sides. The vehicle runs terrific. (now that I have replaced the carb with a new one). It looks great from about 50 feet. any closer and you see just how badly rusted it is. (the paint still shines real nice though). Which is also where the second one comes in. It is an 85 Arizona RUST, DENT FREE Tub and freshly powder coated frame with reversed shackles chrome dropped pitman arm and extra capacity gas tank. The best part? I got all listed here for the sum of $1850.00! Did I mention that I bought it a year ago and it has been running so well I just cant take it off the road to swap the body and frame yet.

The 2nd owner place the ARB Air Lockers with air compressor, Warn 9000lbs winch, Front Tow Hitch for Trailing behind an RV, Rear Heavy Duty Bumper with receiver hitch, Front Tow Hitch for Trailing behind RV, Custom Roll Bar, Rear Back Up Lights. In 2003, I purchased the Jeep and did a Frame on restoration. The Jeep was painted, Seats were replaced with Bestop heated seats, Line x was sprayed in the interior floor pan, All new exterior lights were placed with new wiring, New toggle switches were placed and wired by professional, new windshield and rubber replaced, Added power assisted brakes. Power Steering pump and hoses replaced. Recently, a new clutch was placed a year ago, and new Dual Optimum Batteries with connection for jumper cables. Tires are 33X12.5R15 with 75% tread left. New Spare Frame and Body: The frame is solid and rust-free. The hood has a dent and some chips from tree branch following on it. It can be fixed. There is a small rust spot near passenger front quarter panel just popped up recently. (See pics) The 258 Inline 6 cylinder engine and 5- Speed manual transmission have 147755 original miles and have been serviced regularly and runs strong. Small oil leak form oil cover that needs to be fixed. It is a very dependable vehicle and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere in the country. Have one brand new rebuilt carb, original carb needs rebuilding, extra set of Pia Lights, Oil,Volt, Temp gauges, Water pump. (See Pics) with connection for jumper cables

The engine and transmission are both original and as shown is used annually as a hunting vehicle. The hunting cage on the back is bolted on and can be removed. I will soon have new carpet put in the inside and a new magna liner sprayed in the rear cargo area. It also has the original paint and decal series. Factory original options include a/c, power steering, a manual 5-speed transmission, and currently has 151,000 original miles, drives like a dream and with no leaks and very little body rust. As far as I know this "8" has lived in dry arid West Texas.

It sat for 4 or 5 years... when I got it home... I threw in a new battery, sprayed some ether into the carb... and it fired right up. It has some pretty bad frame rot on the right side, and I am looking to get rid of it (if you know anyone who is looking for a project truck). I just ordered the floors (drivers and passengers front and rear) and the brake lines (I blew one when I moved it around my house yesterday).

It had a diesel engine and they had bolted on an exoskeleton that covered the whole thing. It had no body parts except the tub and grill. Anyway, it's mine now and a lot will change. I have a complete Lardeo package I plan on putting in. 360, NV4500, D300, 44's, full cage, coil springs, etc.

	072019			I started out by putting in a GM crate engine (ZZ4), with a corvette Tune-Port Fuel Injection. After that, it is a story of nickel and dimeing myself to death. The color is a charcoal gray and everything else is black, interior included. Running 33/12.5/15's and Eagle Alloy wheels(15X10). Rancho 9000 series shocks and a new AGR Superbox2. Way too much to list for the registry. I only drive once in a great while. It is mainly a daily street driver but I love taking it camping in Colorado (it is perfect to throw all the camping gear in and go).

It does not show when I bought it but it was 4/3/97 It has the 4.2 AT Air CC factory and an owner put on a full length hard top (that has "Classic" in raised letter on the back) a rear seat (moved forward and a RJS 4 point harness installed for my daughter) fully carpeted, a Hilift jack on the front bumper, a huge rear bumper that stuck out past the rear tire( and it didn't last a week before it was torched off) and 31 inch tires. Since then it has been a almost daily driver and much put off project. I have Installed one piece axles, Weber carb, Mopar orange spark box, Tuffy center console, CD player and new front speakers. I have a steel [horse] long bikini (should cover the rear pass like a 92 and newer YJ) that I have yet to install. I am trying to get around to polishing a Westside preformace aluminum valve cover to install and cure the oil leaks, The list for further mods is way too long.

That is where I purchased her and she still lives today. I put new BFG 31X10.50, spray-in liner, carpet, new stereo, some stainless stuff. My next projects will be new carb and intake and 4.10 gears to help maintain highway speeds. She has a full Kay-Line soft top with soft doors, half hard top with hard doors and firewall. Hard top, hard doors and fire wall are in storage b/c I use the back seat.

My plans are to restore it as a stock driver. The body and frame are essentially rust free with 121K on the engine and drive train. I have included a picture of my Scrambler as it sat on the excess lot at Clemson. Little has changed on the exterior although I have touched up some areas with paint (hard to match that Forest Service Green!), removed the decals and gave it a good wax job! Plan to get a half cab soft top for the summer, new tires & new wheels.

I am the fourth owner of this vehicle. It has had total frame off restoration. TJ flares, new Chevy 350 crate motor four bolt; 700R4 auto(jet) transmission, changed gears to 4:10 ratio with Dana Posi in front and Auburn tru-trac in rear. Changed rear axels to Superior 1 piece axle. All bearings ,seals ,u-joints, all bolts ,nuts, and washers replaced on entire Jeep. Front and rear drive shaft replaced with Tom Woods custom drive shaft. Reverse shackle kit on front. All steering replaced with AGR steering gear and Borgeson shaft. All new original interior including all gauges. Wheels are American Racing Chrome Atlas 10"x16". Tires are 35" mud terrains. I did all of the work including body and all paint except final clear coat. This Jeep had no rust and was never wrecked. Front fenders were dented from woods use. I changed this to a Wrangler front clip. All parts added were new. This Jeep had 106,000 miles when I bought it. It now has 0 miles on the odometer and could be considered a new Scrambler. The restoration took over one year to complete. All CJ-8 parts were kept in case I ever wanted to change it back to an original CJ-8.

Rhino lined both inside cab and in rear bed. New seats, center console, and 31x10.5 tires on American racing rims. Have steel half doors with removable windows, and Bikini top still in the box. Nice staight body with no rust or bondo,.. Frame is straight and rust free as well,. Have wagon wheel rims painted same color as body. chassis has 135,000 engine has 24,000.

	184888		Johnny	My Scrambler has a 4 inch lift with a Currie built Ford 9 inch with 4.57 and a Loc-Rite in front. I have a Dana 44 in the rear with 4.56's and a Detroit locker out of an '86 CJ-7. It's original 258 6cyl has been rebuilt with lots of torque in mind. I've got a shackle reversal on it , and 33' Super swamper tires. I've installed Beard Super seats with 4 point safety harness's. I've upgraded the brakes with rear discs. I've had my JEEP since 1988 , I've spent a ton of money on it and don't regret it a bit . I absolutely love this thing!!!!!!!!!! I like to call my Scrambler The GRIM JEEPER. Apparently this one was parted out and sold to Johnny by the guy who registered this Scrambler originally.
